Sreekrishnapuram Higher Secondary School was founded in the year 1951. At that time Sreekrishnapuram was on under developed area in Valluvanad Taluk in Malabar Dist, which was a part of Madras Presidency. The malabar area was backward in all respects especially in the field of Education. There were very few high schools in Valluvanad Taluk. High school Education was only a distant prospect for most. It was in such a situation, that the eminent personalities of this area thought of starting a high school in sreekrishnapuram.
Eventually the Sreekrishnapuram Educational Society was founded and registered under the charittable Societies Act XXI of 1860. The then education minister Sri.K.Madhava menon had taken special interest in giving permission to start a high school at S.K puram. Sreekrishnapuram High School was inaugurated on 28th June 1951. We pay homage to the founding fathers of this noble institution.
